RED VELVET, Red Tweed...

Bon soir everyone! Hope your Friday is swell~

Today is by far the hottest day of the summer here in Ann Arbor!
All this heat has stuck a grumpy bug on me and makes me miss the snow, christmas...
That is why today I have chosen to take out a rather bold red, velvet skirt.
Although velvet is on the thick side, I tried to balance that out with a holey, multi-red tweed top.

I wanted to really capture the beauty of this skirt so you'll find pictures of it from many different angles.

I always admired how velvet carries a subtle elegance, regardless of what it's paired with.

Yes, elegance.

I didn't want to hoard the velvet with too many accessories so a simple, red, snakeskin watch and a marble ring did the trick!

I often have trouble deciding whether leaving my hair down or an updo will elevate the look.
Today was conveniently hot enough to force an updo 30 minutes into the shoot.

I felt like I had tacked on oversized flower petals and in my opinion, there are few skirts lovelier than those that seem to slightly swallow up the legs~

There's nothing like the feeling of slipping off your heels for the day and taking a long, juicy stretch.

Throughout the day, our bodies undergo so much physical exertion that our spine tends to crunch together. This makes stretching all the more important and significantly decreases your chances of being a hunchback as you age so try to take a nice, big stretch as you lie in bed before conking out~

Thank you for taking the time to read and I hope you have an action-packed Friday night!
