HIT-LIST

Bon soir tout le monde!
I have decided to start posting the pieces on my list of must-buy styles/pieces!

Above are 2 tweed skirts by CARVEN!

While the FIRST skirt has a blatantly vertical, and symmetrical design,
the SECOND has a more feminine feel from the ruffles created by the wrapped pleats!

Notice the distinction in tweed colors as well!
I think both the multicolored and beige color palettes make the skirts wonderful autumn investments!!
Perhaps one can wear them with opaque tights and ballets/sky high booties topped with
a less overpowering, light blouse and cropped leather/suede/tweed jacket?
Variety is key in the autumn, especially because of all that much-needed layering, n'est pas?
:)
Have a lovely Friday!!!!!

Sandro Silk DENIM COLLAR BLOUSE & Trousers

Bon soir tout le monde!
I apologize for the irregularity in posts. I have now settled down in Paris
AND
will hopefully be posting the chic style of parisians as well as beautiful nooks that I come across rather than outfits that I put together each day, seeing as how I am temporarily without a photographer.

So, these pictures were taken on my last day in NYC, on an evening out with my mother and sister!
Some breezy trousers with white piping detail down the side,
paired with a lovely silk blouse from my favorite store, Sandro.

The detailing of the blouse very easily represents my preferred sense of style: clean-cut and polished with hidden treasures, which in this case, is the unique denim collar and black, lace shoulder patches.

As a farewell gift, my mother bought me this rose gold ring,
I was really taken by the fox design and have continued to wear this in Paris :)

I hope everyone has been having a spleeenddid week!

Summer FLORALS & Ruby Ballets

Bon matin tout le monde!!!
Here is a look from a couple of days ago, taken at Shake Shack in NYC's Madison Square Park!
Having been born and bred here, I may be a bit bias in saying,
"Shake Shack makes the most irresistibly phenomenal burgers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Seeing as how I won't have another one of these food treasures for a while, I said my goodbyes to the shackburger and this lovely, outdoor joint.

So, a bit on my outfit here: A beautifully, light-hearted floral dress to close the summer with!
I'm not sure what instigated my choice of ruby-red ballets and a pink, snakeskin clutch but I sure liked it!!
The bold red with the medley of soft pastel hues on the top half all cinched in with a thin, gold belt made for a wonderfully uplifting ensemble that's playful on the eyes!

Throughout my last week in NYC, I suppose there was nothing to do but to enjoy my habitual activities: Sipping my favorite iced raspberry chai tea...

meandering into furniture stores

and having some good ole authentic, italian gelato!!
This one here is amarena (black cherry), mango, speculos (the cookie!), coconut and banana!
If you ever head into the big NYC, please do pop a visit to Amorino's on the corner of 10th St. and University Place :)

It's a lovely Saturday; I hope everyone has a good one!!

Chunky Knit Grey & LAVENDER Shorts

Bon soir tout le monde!!
This picture was taken while I was still in Ann Arbor, hence, the casual-ness of the outfit. I was actually going out grocery shopping.

This is just a simple grey tank with a sheer scallop on the top half
and a cardigan more so on the chunky side.

It's no news that grey and purple/pink go well together; my shorts are a lovely shade of lavender.

I've been trying to cut back on coffee these days and I must say, it's the hardest, darndest thing!
I've contemplated on whether it's the actual caffeine I'm addicted to or just the idea of having a nice, pick-me-up iced treat to look forward to each day.
Anyhow, that explains my cup o' Moroccan Mint tea, which I highly recommend!!

I hope you had a lovely Friday night!!

Miu Miu GREEN VELVET & Gold Accessories

Bon soir tout le monde!
I apologize for the lack of posts this week. Frankly, I've been trying to squeeze all my favorite NYC pastimes and activities into 5 days!
I have been instagramming though!!

These photos were taken 6 days ago.
I attended a wedding and decided to keep to a dark color. I think wearing a dark color is a safe bet for women; you don't want to steal away from the bride by wearing colors that are more beautiful and vibrant than her dress.

I paired this gorgeous green, (not black) velvet dress with a gold statement belt and my gold embellished camera bag.
Although it's hard to see, I combined the ensemble with a pair of
deep cherry brown sandals with gold-rimmed, red beads along the strap.

I doubled on necklaces: one in the shape of a little, gold anchor and one, a small crystal encrusted moon.
When you don't feel like dangling a huge, chunky necklace, doubling up is a great way to add some much needed embellishment to your look! :)
Gorjana has a great selection of necklaces that are already doubled up as well as simple ones that you can combine yourself!

Hope everyone is ready for an exciting weekend!
Have a splennnnnndid Friday!

Black & White Moo Print

Bon soir!!
Here are a few shots to peruse through!
Today, I wanted to stay as comfortable as possible seeing as how I'll be sitting in the library all day...
I chose a pair of charming, cow print shorts
with a simple, black long-sleeved sweater, which despite all appearances, is not from Marc Jacobs~

This was just as comfortable as wearing a pair of sweats at home on the couch~

Have a lovely Wednesday!!

Navy silk & Two-tone Orange coat

Bon soir tout le monde!
Ann Arbor is getting chillier by the day so it's time to bring out the coats!

I wanted to stay on the vibrant side today so I chose a two-toned orange and cream colored coat.
Also, seeing as how the weather has been a bit bi-polar, I made sure to keep my inside layers breezy, with a polka dot top so there's something interesting to draw the eyes~

I didn't want to crowd the orange coat with other colors so my top and shorts were kept neutral with a deep navy~

Slipped on my favorite silver ballets, of course.

and Voila! A warm yet airy ensemble.

Thank you for reading and I hope the remainder of your Wednesday goes swimmingly!!

Warm Camel tones & Jimmy Choo

Bon après-midi tout le monde!
I apologize for these impromptu posts but it's a rather busy week for me:
finals, preparing to go abroad and whatnot.

Anywho, today is a beautiful post-storm day here in Ann Arbor
and I decided to celebrate the sunny yet brisk day by stepping my foot into both the
summer/autumn seasons!

Whilst keeping an overall camel color palette, I slipped on a pair of chic, leather pants to keep me warm and start the transition into autumn.

I wore a simple blue/white stripped top with a chiffon bow to keep the look feminine~ :)

Pour pratiquer mon français....
j'espère que tout le monde a un beau mardi!!

PINK PLEATED SKIRT & Sheer White Blouse

Bon soir tout le monde!
I'm sad to say that today was my last Saturday at the Ann Arbor Farmer's Market :(
With just 2 weeks left until my departure to Paris, I suddenly felt rushed to enjoy all the nooks I've come to love in this city~

Saturdays at the Farmer's Market makes me feel quite chipper so I tried to keep with that attitude
with a light and bright, sheer, pastel outfit.

I happened to come across this hydrant that was the same color as my metallic clutch!
I thought it looked fancy-pantsy, hence, the picture~

It was a rather polished, flirty outfit so I thought I'd take a quirky picture or two as well :)

Although it's difficult to see, these marble steps were a pale pink color, which matched the shade of my skirt o'so well.
My, my! It's not often you come across objects that match the color of your outfit, ey?
certainly not hydrants and stairs at that..

I thought I'd continue to stack on that delicate pink and sharper metallic palette through the accessories!

I kept the shoes a bit more mellow, sticking to a pair of camel-nude ballets, which is actually a fairly new addition to my ballet family!
Ballets from French Sole make my feet so happy.
They don't even need to be broken in, which I'm sure is an experience that every woman can relate to...

I think simple, initialed necklaces such as this one is a truly classy, well-worn essential for any woman.
I love and appreciate the beauty of necklaces as much as the next girl but having to worry about changing your necklace everyday can be impractical and pricey for the average woman.
That's why investing in a necklace of high quality with a polished design that's able to be worn with just about anything is always a must-recommendation!

My photographer spied a litto pirate in the crevice of a tree as we entered the Farmer's Market!
Small things that....are weird first..
but make you smile soon after :)

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Saturday and
has a lovely Sunday!!!

Thank you so much for reading!!!
